John's Corgis

...
Dylan

Dylan was our first Corgi, he was born on September 29, 1991 and passed away on May 29, 2005. His official AKC name was "Penmorgan's Chelsea Dylan". He was named after Dylan Thomas, the famous Welsh poet, who lived for a time at the Chelsea Hotel just down the street from our NYC apartment. Dylan (the dog) spent most of his time guarding the front door, herding us and the neighbors, and watching John work at the computer. He went to tech rehearsals occasionally (Broadway, of course!) and preferred either an orchestra seat with a good view of the stage or a nice large space on top of the tech table.

Jenny

Her official AKC name was "Heronsway Chelsea Gwenhwyfar" and she was born on February 24, 1996 in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and passed away on January 2, 2009. She was from championship stock and was very outgoing and friendly - willful, actually. Her favorite things were playing with Dylan, giving sloppy wet kisses, and barking (loudly!).

Darby

Darby was our third Corgi. His official AKC name was "Heronsway's Chelsea Darby " and he was born on November 10, 2004 in Duxbury, Massachusetts and passed away on July 5, 2019. Like Jenny, he was from championship stock (they're actually related!) and charmed everyone he met. He loved chasing water from the hose, and was an eager swimmer.

Tallie

Tallie was our fourth Corgi, she was born on September 11, 2008 in Duxbury, Massachusetts and came to us on January 8, 2010. She passed away on December 31, 2020. She alternated between being very pushy and "in charge" and quietly snuggling. She loved car trips, watching TV, a comfortable chair, and of course food! Her most favorite thing was chasing tennis balls, at which she was lightning quick!

Dewey

Dewey is our fifth Corgi. His official AKC name is "Honeyfox Harmony Dewey" and he was born on July 3, 2019 in Charlottesville, VA and came to us on September 8th. He was the biggest in his litter, and will probably turn out to be the biggest dog we've ever had. He's very outgoing and loves every person and dog he meets, enjoying both country life in NJ and city life in NYC.
